The mission of the Friends of the Ute Indian Museum
Friends of the Ute Indian Museum (FUIM) is a Colorado 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2017 to support and enhance the Ute Indian Museum. Led by a passionate volunteer Board of Directors, FUIM helps provide funding for museum improvements, maintenance equipment, educational programming, special projects, and community events that celebrate the rich history and culture of the Ute people.
As a membership-driven organization, FUIM is made possible through the generosity of our members, donors, and a portion of the proceeds from artwork sold during the annual Chipeta Art Show. Every membership, donation, volunteer hour, and purchase strengthen the Museum and expand its ability to educate and inspire visitors for generations to come.
